Get Involved with NYSUT

Please see the email below for the NYSUT Member Organizing Institute from the NYSUT Director of Membership Growth and Organizing:

Programs like the NYSUT Member Organizing Institute aren’t just about the union, they’re about power. If we’re not in these spaces, our voices and our communities get left out of decisions that impact our schools and our future.

We bring lived experience, trust, and real connection to this work. That matters.

This is a chance to build leadership, have real conversations, and help shape what our union looks like moving forward. And yes, it’s paid—but more importantly, it’s purpose-driven.

If we want change, we’ve got to organize for it.

If you’re interested, please apply by April 15.

Let’s show up!

As active Union members, we all are concerned about threats to public education and public services. That’s why we are inviting NYSUT members to consider the NYSUT Member Organizing Institute (MOI) for summer 2026 as part of our strategy to have important conversations member to member and strengthen our ability to work for a better future.
