There are two vacancies on the Executive Committee of the Substitutes United of Buffalo Executive Committee for delegates. The office terms for both positions expire with the September 2026 elections.
All members of SUB are in good standing, eligible to apply for these positions.
To be in good standing, a member must have worked at least one year as a substitute teacher in the Buffalo Public Schools, worked at least 20 days during each year employed with the district and must be current with dues.
The duties of a delegate include, but are not limited to the following:
· Represent substitutes in the buildings in which they are working and may be called into a disciplinary meeting with a principal and substitute
· Uphold and promote the values and standards of SUB and its affiliates, NYSUT, AFT and NEA
· Attend monthly meetings of the Executive Committee
· Attend monthly meetings of SUB Committees and participate in their events
· Attend at least two general membership meetings per year
· Follow the SUB Code of Conduct
· Attend at least one NYSUT training per year
