Six substitute teachers took time out of their busy schedules Nov. 21 to meet with Superintendent of Schools Dr. Mubenga and Tami Hollie McGee, Chief of Human Resources, to discuss working conditions substitutes face in our schools. The group was well received by the District, which promised to look into all concerns expressed, including exclusion of subs in Code of Conduct preparation, problems with the job connect system, and discipline issues.
Attending the meeting were: Chris Salamone, vice president of SUB; SUB Delegates Lynette Meyers, LaGuardia Billingslea and Maria Baker; former SUB Vice President Linda Sieckmann-Dugan and Sylvia Hall Stovall.
