Nomination process for the upcoming election of the Substitutes United of Buffalo

Dear Sub:

The nomination process for the upcoming election of the Substitutes United of Buffalo has been completed. Six nominees for the positions of President, Treasurer and Delegate have accepted their nominations and their names will be on the ballot.

Since only two candidates were nominated for three open delegate seats, nominations will be taken on the floor prior to the election for those openings.

The election will be conducted Tuesday, Sept. 24, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Merriweather Public Library on Jefferson Avenue. Each of the candidates will be allowed five minutes to address the rank and file.

The candidates on the ballot so far, are:

President:         Albert L. Burch

                          Dr. Jimmie Hardaway, Jr.

                          Robert Jenkins

Treasurer:        Ambrosine Lythcott

Delegate:         LaGuardia Billingslea

                         Jonathan D. Swift
